Make Playing Cards with Ancestors' Information

FAMILY HISTORY IDEA—PLAYING CARDS
Rather than researching, which I should be doing, I seem to find myself making family history “things” for my grandkids.  Somehow my mission has changed to making sure they know about their ancestors.  This is my latest creation.   Perhaps it will be an idea you can use.

I found a free template for making baseball cards which I enlarged to 2.75 x 4 inches.  Photos, birth date and place, and information about their likes, personalities, vocation, or something else of interest was included in a card about each grandchild, each of my kids and their spouses, my husband and I, our parents, our grandparents, and our great grandparents (or my grandchildren’s  3rd great grandparents).  Four copies of each card will be given to each family—who are scattered from Seattle to Boston.

While they play Old Maid, Go Fish, Memory, or just look at the cards, I’m hoping these little kids (and their parents!) will learn something about their ancestors and realize they are part of a large extended family network.
